The hugely successful Ronald McDonald Family Retreat Supper Club was held on Wednesday 11th May 2011 in Rotorua. For the second year running, the night commenced at the Novotel Rotorua with drinks and hors d’oeuvres for all guests featuring a silent and live auction. There were over 40 silent auction items ranging from Tupperware sets to a bottle of Port signed by Prime Minister John Key.

After the live auction, the tables of eight were drawn and the guests departed to one of the nineteen restaurants for a three course meal and a night to remember.

Thanks to the generosity of our guests a total of over $31,000 was raised for the ongoing operation of the Ronald McDonald Family Retreat in Rotorua. The Ronald McDonald Family Retreat opened in February 2009 and hosts up to 100 families a year. It caters to those who have a sick child or terminally ill parent and gives them a week away from home free of charge.

We would like to thank all those involved in the organising of the event, the individuals that donated items for the auctions and the local businesses that donated their services and their time to make this a wonderful event. We couldn't do it without you!

We would also like to thank the restaurants that joined us again this year and the new restaurants that came onboard for this years event.

Special thanks to our major sponsors McDonald's Rotorua, Classic Hits 97.5FM, Novotel Rotorua Lakeside, Advocate Print, The Daily Post, Deb Bell, Dynamics Audio Visual, Event/Impressions, Rotorua International Airport and Zeroseven.
