Sean Bridge

Sean has been volunteering at our Wellington House for three years now, but his journey with the House started many years earlier. He was born with a condition which meant he had to spend a significant amount of time in hospital as a child, and his family were able to stay at the House while he received treatment. It is for this reason that he has chosen to volunteer and regularly helps out at the Family Room in Wellington hospital.

Sean spends his time in the Family Room doing a variety of tasks, anything from washing clothes to making coffee. Having been in some difficult situations himself, Sean understands how important it can be to not have to worry about the little things.

“Our family have gone through some tough times and I know that when you are going through things like that, you don’t have control. The last thing you want to be doing is dealing with normal things and it’s quite good that I can help out in that way,” Sean Bridge.
