Housekeeping Angels
Your volunteer role is to assist our housekeeping team to maintain high levels of cleanliness at the House. You’ll help ensure our spaces are sanitised, hygienic and safe but also homely. You’ll be vacuuming shared spaces, wiping down tables and chairs, making up rooms, and helping with laundry.

Evening Superstars

This volunteer role involves the evening sanitising and cleanliness of the House as well as assisting our Overnight Supervisor with the cooking group while ensuring the facilities are well looked after and left clean and tidy for the next users. This involves sweeping and mopping of the kitchen floors, restacking and emptying of the dishwashers.

Overnight Supervising Heroes

After Hours Overnight Volunteer Supervisor’s sleep overnight at Ronald McDonald House South Island and are responsible for the supervision of the House outside of office hours. 

General housekeeping duties are required to ensure the overall appearance of the House is maintained outside of office hours (e.g. mopping floors, vacuuming carpets, etc), Locking up the property at the end of the day, overseeing the delivery and clear away of evening meals. Being available to assist guests to answer queries as well as on call during the night to deal with any, urgent or emergency situation which may arise (e.g. fire alarms sounding (assume fire warden duties), 

Individual volunteers play a huge role helping to make RMHC® New Zealand a ‘home-away-from-home’ for families. We are always looking for fabulous volunteers to join our team both in the House and in our Family Rooms.
