Kylie started her career at McDonald’s as a crew member when she was at high school in Brisbane. Fast forward 26 years, and in 2022 Kylie moved from flipping burgers to become the managing director for McDonald’s New Zealand and the Pacific Islands.
While initially a part-time job with her mates, Kylie moved up the ranks, and whilst studying radiation therapy, she was offered the opportunity to become restaurant manager for a new restaurant in Calamvale that was about to open. From there, Kylie then took the next step, moving to Sydney to work in the McDonald’s Australia corporate head office. Over the next decade Kylie held roles including chief of staff, director of equipment and development, and senior director of supply chain for Australia and New Zealand.
After initially commuting from Australia, Kylie’s wife and two teenage sons joined her in moving permanently to New Zealand in late 2022. In addition to her New Zealand and Pacific Island responsibilities, Kylie represents the region as part of McDonald’s international operated markets, and is a member of the McDonald’s Australia senior leadership team. Kylie completed a Master of Business Administration at the Australian Institute of Business in 2017
In her spare time, Kylie is a keen diver, volunteers in a number of community organisations, and is a certified foster care provider.
