RMHC® New Zealand delivers Election Manifesto to new government

RMHC New Zealand is the only essential service in New Zealand that is solely focused on the families of children receiving medical treatment. Approximately one-third of the not-for-profit organisation’s income is through the National Travel Assistance Scheme – which has not been reviewed in over eleven years. Furthermore, the criteria for this assistance determines which families are eligible to access the support provided by RMHC New Zealand - that the organisation believes are outdated and in need of urgent review.

As such, they have sent the RMHC^® New Zealand Election Manifesto to the new government to kick start this long-overdue conversation. The manifesto identifies three key areas that need addressing so that RMHC New Zealand can continue to enable family-centred care for more families during their time of need. The areas outlined below will provide a key focus for the organisation over the coming year.
